Archenland Biodynamic Garden
We began this garden on 1st June 2000. Like all gardens, it's a continual
work-in-progress. we garden completely biodynamically - organics with oomph! -
using no artificial chemicals, pesticides or other such. We use loads and loads
of manure, compost, leaf mold, wood ash and herb teas as well as all the
biodynamic preparations.
Within two years of us beginning from absolute scratch the garden thrived and
looked well established. A testament to biodynamics J
As well as the pond, small wood, cottage garden, shrubs and flower beds we
grow nearly all of our own vegetables, herbs, soft fruit, apples and
damson plums. I'd like to add pears, cherries and peaches to that, and a
grape vine ... we'll see. We're due to begin with rhubarb and asparagus this
year too.
Anny trained in garden design at
Pershore College
and did three large, award winning water gardens at
Hampton Court between 2004.
2005,
2006. That was good fun but very hard work !!! You can see the gardens
here. Paul is a
Master Composter as well as running a fully biodynamically and organically
certified garden.
